The Voices of Humanity – Order Out of Chaos discussion has launched. Our first set of crowd-sourced winning messages were sent to Dr. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, the Executive Director of UN Women. See the messages for Dr Mlambo-Ngcuka here. These messages reflect very well the goal of the project: human unity with gender equality and respect for diversity built in. Now we need to bring in more participants. Add your voice at voh.intermix.org.
Who are we? That is the big question that Voices of Humanity will help us answer in a positive way. Please support Voices of Humanity now via Thunderclap.
The plan is to have new winning messages each lunar month, participants write messages and trade them around to be read and rated. At the new moon, the highest rated messages from the women, the men, youth, middle-aged, seniors and overall are published as the Voices of Humanity. The next set of winning messages will come in with the new moon on September 1, 2016.
The Order Out of Chaos discussion will remake the way humanity sees itself. The monthly winners will be consistently intelligent, generous and magnanimous, building a heartfelt and hugely welcome sense of human unity.
A local-to-global strategy informs VoH outreach efforts. We are asking local groups to read one of the recent winning messages at meetings. Here is the all important Readership List that our new strategy depends on. Contact Roger Eaton for questions at 415 933 0153 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The author of the overall winner each month can designate an organization from the Readership List to receive USD 200 from the Voices of Humanity project.
Twelve categories are being targeted for outreach: Climate Change * Gender Equality * Disadvantaged Minorities * Human Rights * Indigenous people * Interfaith Cooperation * Nuclear Disarmament * Peace * Refugees * UN Goals * Veterans * Youth. Additionally we are looking to bring in United Nations Association chapters beginning in UNA-USA and then reaching out to the World Federation of United Nations Associations.
If just 10 local groups in each category from around the world can be persuaded to participate, then the initiative will take off. And yes, we can persuade 10 groups and more from each category to participate!
